Faculty at “Cadaverc Arthroscopy Course” By IAS at Safdur Jung Hospital New
Delhi, Here the techniques in the knee arthroscopy were demonstrated to
delegates on human cadavers and the delegates had a chance to have a hands on
experience with arthroscopy of knee and Shoulder.
7th Feb – 07
Arthritis Foundation of India meeting at India International center with
International faculty to promote bone health in India. Workplace bone health
awareness programme schedule was drawn.
18th Dec 07
A faculty lecture on “Recent advancement in Shoulder Surgery and its Rehab” in
CME organized by Rehabilitation Department Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The Sports
surgeon Dr Prateek Gupta discussed the approach to a individual with shoulder
pain and a detailed discussion on most recent trends in managing shoulder pain
and also new rehab protocols.
14th Nov – 06
Faculty on Shoulder Workshop organized under the auspices of IOACON -06 Delhi
at SJH Delhi. Dr Prateek Gupta here discussed in details about “Shoulder
Impingement Syndrome” and later helped the delegates in understanding shoulder
arthroscopy principles and run them on human cadaver.
19 & 20th Aug – 06
Indian Arthroscopy Society – hands on Cadeveric Course at SJH ehere the chief
surgeon from the clinic demonstrated thye meniscal repair techniques om the
model. The advantages of the saving the meniscus were discussed at length with
delegates from all over India.
22 & 23rd April – 06
Hands on Cadeveric course on Knee & Shoulder by IAS at SJH, Delhi. The
surgeon discussed the basic techniques of knee arthroscopy and trouble shooting
during Arthroscopic procedure.
21st Aug – 05
Seminar and Workshop on “Parenting Issues” – Organised by Indian Academy of
Paediatrics & Springdale Education Society at Indian International Center
Delhi. The Chief Surgeon discussed “The role of Sports in Child development”
with the parents, teachers and other staff of various schools all over Delhi.
22nd Jan 05
Delhi Orthopaedic Association – Annual meeting at All India Institute of
Medical sciences Delhi. Dr Prateek Gupta presented paper on “Pilot study of
Arthroscopic Shoulder stabilization”.
21st March – 04
Dr Prateek Gupta was invited to “International CME on Continuim in care from
birth to Adoloscent in Health and Illness” – organized by Indian Academy of
Pediatrics in association with International Academy of Pediatricians at IHC,
Delhi, to Chair a session on “Hoe to prepare Children for Sports”
19 & 20TH Octob 02
Faculty lecture at “Basic Hip Arthroplasty Course” at Sant Parmanand Hospital,
Delhi. The course was organized to improve the understanding of basic
principles of Total Hip Replacement was well attended by orthopaedic community
of Delhi and North India. The Chief surgeon Dr Prateek Gupta here took the
delegates through exposure of hip joint with his talk on “Approach to Exposure
to Hip Joint – Modified Lateral Approach”. Here the surgeon presented his
original resarcd work of modified lateral approach to reach hip joint to
perform replacement surgery without damaging vital Glites Medius muscle which
generally gets effected in this approach
