“ Meniscal repair Techniques” a talk to up-coming Arthroscopy surgeons at
Indian Arthroscopy Society symposia at ethicon Institute, Delhi.
19-20th Jan 07
“Recent Advancement in Sports medicine and Arthroscopy” a detailed talk on most
recent advancement in Sorts Medicine. The talk included Knotess suture anchor
in Arthroscopic stabilization of recurrent dislocation of Shoulder. Also
discussion on various techniques of anterior cruciate disarmament
reconstruction – Bone Patellar bone, Hamstringed, Quadriceps tendon graft, allo
graft and various modalities of fixation – metallic screw, Bio screw,
endobutton and transfix.
13th Nov 06
Faculty lecture on “Adoloscent ACL Injury” at IOACON(Indian Orthopaedic
Association Annual conference) 06 – Knee workshop organized at Delhi. The
surgeon discussed issues arising from injury to ACL in adolocent age where
growing bones pose a difficult problem reconstructing the ligament. The various
methodology to overcome these problems were discussed at length.
15th July 06
Invited as faculty for National Symposium on Recent Trends in Arthroscopic
Ligament Surgery at Kameneni Hospital, Hyderabad. The chief surgeon Dr Prateek
Gupta discussed the complexities of “Postero-lateral Corner Injury” in knee
with orthopaedic surgeon from all over India.
21 & 22 Jan-06
Dr Gupta was invited to Kumaon Orthopaedic Club at Jim Corbett park as faculty
to speak on “Arhtroscopy and Sprts Medicine: An Overview”. Here the Chief
Surgeon discussed the role of Arthroscopy in most joint related problem and its
advantage over the older procedure and how Sports medicine can help budding
Sports Person from premature termination of their carrier due to injuries.
2nd Octo-04
Interaction with young International cricket teams of Triseries of Under 19
World cup Cricket. Here the chief surgeon talked on “Injury Prevention” and a
detailed discussion on “Diet & Nutrition for Cricketer. The world cup was
organized by Jawharlal Nehru Sports Trust at Delhi.
11th Nov – 05
Sports Authority of India(SAI) – at Jawaharlal lal Nehru stadium New Delhi held
The Sports Med Con on 11th Nov 05. The chief Surgeon Dr Prateek Gupta was
invited to speak on “Painful Shoulder in Athlete: My Approach”. Here all
shoulder problems in athlete’s were discussed and their logical workup were
discussed along with all available method of treating it.
16th October - 05
Chaired the session of “Sports Symposia” at the IAS Annul conference held at
India Habitat Center Delhi. The session was extremely well taken with pearls
given by faculty from Australia like Dr David Martin, Dr Jegan Krishnan, Dr
Andrew Potter.
27th October -02
Uttaranchal state Ortho meet at Haldwani – the chief surgeon Dr Prateek Gupta
was invited to talk to local orthopaedic community about role of Arthroscopy in
Shoulder and its application. A very basic but thread bare discussion of
shoulder problem and the role of arthroscopy there.
